What this is, and what it is not.

MacroRoom collects interpretive measures of the US economy — indexes, decompositions and trackers — and presents them in one visual language, each with its method and its limits stated on the page.

Whose measure is it

Every monitor says who built the measure. Where it is someone else's, we take their published output rather than recomputing it, so our number is their number, and we link to them. Where it is ours, the data lives here and so does the method.

What did not hold up

The research this site grew out of set kill criteria before it saw results, and some claims were retired by them. Those will be listed here rather than quietly dropped.
